Potomac golfer Colton Rodgers wins MAC individual title

Freshman Colton Rodgers won the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference individual golf championship on Wednesday at Blue Mash Golf Course with a record-setting 7-under 64, finishing six strokes ahead of teammate Connor Wood. Rodgers' stellar round, the lowest in MAC tournament history, included nine birdies and just one bogey, with precise approach shots and a sharp short game. Wood, a senior, shot a 1-under 70, and junior Jack Smith completed an all-Potomac top three with a 2-over 73 after an eagle putt on the 18th hole.

The Potomac School, which dominated the MAC team championships two weeks ago with a 42-stroke victory, again placed all six golfers in the top 10 of the leaderboard. Click HERE for the full story from the Washington Post.
