Potomac rallies past Sidwell for third straight MAC Baseball title
At Sidwell Friends on Saturday, Potomac School won its third consecutive Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference baseball title with a 13-4 comeback victory over the top-seeded Quakers. After finishing third in the regular season behind co-champions Flint Hill and Sidwell Friends, the Panthers defeated Saint James in the quarterfinals and edged Flint Hill 3-2 in the semis. Trailing by one in the fourth inning of the final, Potomac erupted for 11 runs across two frames, including a three-run double from junior Tony Diller and a grand slam by senior Colby Bohnen. The Panthers, who started the season 0-6, improved to 15-9 with the win.
