Sidwell Friends defeats Flint Hill 60-50 to win MAC Basketball Championship

Sidwell Friends claimed its fourth straight MAC boys' basketball title with a 60-50 victory over Flint Hill on Saturday. Junior Jalyn Collingwood led the Quakers with 25 points, including 17 in the first half, helping Sidwell (22-5) build an early lead at home.

Flint Hill (17-12) rallied in the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit to three points before Sidwell senior Caleb Gillus hit a crucial three-pointer with four minutes remaining. Gillus finished with 10 points, while sophomore Ian Condon added nine.

"I couldn't be more proud of the guys stepping up in the face of adversity," Coach Eric Singletary said.

The win caps another dominant season for the Quakers, who overcame injuries and snapped back from a regular-season loss to Flint Hill to continue their championship streak.
