Sidwell Friends wins MAC Track and Field title in dominant fashion

After placing second and third the last two years, Sidwell Friends dominated the field to capture the MAC Championship title at Bullis School on Saturday. The Quakers won eight events to finish with 192.5 points, ahead of second-place Georgetown Day (114.5 points) and Potomac School (97). Sidwell Friends senior Noah Warren set a school record in the 200 meters (21.98) and also won the 100 (10.90). Teammate Clayton Gary shattered the meet record in the long jump with a 23'6" leap and also won the triple jump. Two more MAC Championship Meet records fell: Kendall Jones of Flint Hill and Eric Green of Sidwell Friends tied the 10-year-old high jump record of 6'4" held by Evan Palmer of Georgetown Day School, and Potomac School's team of Noah Altschuler, Eli Levine, Luke Carter, and Zachary Dalva-Baird broke the 4x800 meter relay record with a time of 8:05.13.
